Resonate: Total Chopin

 Resonate is the Art Gallery Society of NSW’s concert series that combines great art with great music. Before each concert you can immerse yourself in the visual delights of the Art Gallery’s major exhibitions before sitting down to experience some of the finest performers from Australia and overseas, while listening to the sublime music of the world’s greatest composers.
Resonate is always proud to present fine young musicians. In 2011 Polish-born pianist Krzysztof Malek will perform an all-Chopin program and an ensemble from the Sydney Youth Orchestra will showcase the talents of tomorrow.
Krzysztof Malek has won prizes at many international competitions including the Chopin Competition both in Poland and Sydney. In 2008 Krzysztof was awarded a Distinguished Talent visa to reside in Australia and we are thrilled he is making his Resonate debut.
This all-Chopin concert of dazzling pianistic skill includes the ‘heroic’ Polonaise in A-flat major, amongst many of Chopin’s highly polished musical jewels.
The concert will be preceded by a champagne reception and private viewing of the Archibald Prize. Doors open at 7pm. Seating commences at 7.45pm
